D1 Spas Wins Praise from Association for Manufacturing Excellence

William G. Holbrook, Western Region Board Director of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, AME, Praises DIMENSION ONE SPAS` AME Safety Workshop Presenters

VISTA, CA – (May 24, 2007) Several presenters from hot tub manufacturer Dimension One Spas won praise for their contributions to a workshop held last week devoted to safety matters sponsored by the Western Region Association for Manufacturing Excellence, or AME, and hosted by D1 Spas at its global headquarters in Vista, CA.

Presenters from D1 included Paul Yandell, Janett Pankauski, Dave Gordon, Jake Bills, Dolores Ordas, Angel Lugo, Gonzo Serrato, David Ayala, Paul Goul and Luis Torrico.

AME`s Western Region Board Director, Bill Holbrook, commented, “Yesterday, Dimension One Spas hosted a very successful workshop focused on safety. The event was attended by more than 30 people, mostly from Southern California.”

Holbrook continued: “The workshop consisted of a review of D1`s lean journey and the company`s concentration on safety as a key ingredient in their improved financial performance. The event also consisted of an interesting tour of the factory floor where we watched spas being assembled. Paul Yandell and several of the D1 staff delivered excellent presentations on all aspects of their Lean program and on their excellent safety and employee training programs.”

Holbrook concluded by saying, “The D1 presentations should be considered for our annual conferences and regional conference next year. Many new AME members and new companies for the region were in attendance. It was an excellent event.”
