Re: Advantis to Hold Pricing through Sept. 30

Alpharetta, Ga. — Advantis Technologies, Inc., the manufacturer of Leisure Time, GLB, Robarb, Applied Biochemists and Ultima brand pool and spa care products, has announced that it will hold current pricing through Sept. 30, 2008.

“Although the economic outlook for our industry is uncertain, Advantis is working hard to remain the best source for pool and spa water care products,” said Steve D’Onfro, president. “As part of that effort, we have concluded that a price increase will be necessary. However, in order to give our customers the best possible market advantage, we are holding current pricing for the remainder of the season.”

While several competitors have already raised prices or added fuel surcharges, to date, Advantis has been able to absorb rising transportation costs.

Continuing increases in fuel prices may soon require Advantis to recover a portion of these significant costs, cautions D’Onfro. “Whatever the outcome, Advantis will do everything possible to support our customers while providing the highest quality service and products.”
