FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Surrey, British Columbia, September 26th, 2008 – Beachcomber Hot Tubs presented the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley with $17,211.00 raised by raffling off a $8,995 Beachcomber hot tub at the company’s factory in Surrey.

This is the fourth year that the Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley has visited the Beachcomber Factory, since 2005, when Frank Scott, Beachcomber’s Factory Manager and brother of company founder Keith Scott, was diagnosed with cancer.

Since that time Beachcomber employees have raised over $86,800, through hot tub raffles and a head shave event in 2005 in support of Frank.

“We continue to honour the memory of my uncle Frank, who lost his battle with cancer in 2005,” Says Blake Scott, Frank’s nephew and Director of International Sales for Beachcomber Hot Tubs, “And we appreciate the opportunity to support children and families who are having their own battles, to help give them hope for the future.”

This year, the money was raised through a raffle draw in which Beachcomber Founder Keith Scott donated a hot tub valued at $8,995, as well as through donations given at a community BBQ held on Friday Sept 26th, 2008 at the company’s factory in Surrey.

Beachcomber Hot Tub’s position of “Connecting family friends and loved ones” seeks to provide health, happiness and well being through the life giving properties of water.
